Salutation

It is what the postcard proposes on its cover, aimed to the general population. And it suggests: “If in your neighborhood there are boys and girls who use drugs, let them know that they are not invisible for you.” On the back, a self-administered survey aims to check the emotions that each person can feel when meeting with another one who has problems with drug use.

Giving the first step

To change, something has to be moved. Anyone can star

The material for teams who have contact with drug users (whether health care workers, teachers, or members of institutions of children and adolescents rights protection and of community organizations), propose: “To change, something has to be moved. Anyone can start”.

Proposed use

The pledge of this material is the possibility of rethinking what is being done from the institutions and what could be done differently. So, in the back, there are a series of suggestions “if we want to approach a person with problematic drug use”. There are no reasons for discrimitation

That you use drugs is no reason to be discriminated

A multicolor image where young people are chatting sitting in circle is the first input to the message “Do not be a prisoner of other people’s prejudices. The fact that you use drugs is no reason to be discriminated”.

Proposed use

In the piece intended for drug users, the proposal is the affirmation and diffusion of organization experiences of drug users, their families and community organizations. The postcard puts into relevance the potential of collective organization, as in the case of harm reduction programs, groups of cannabis growers, and organizations of “mothers” for better drug treatments. It concludes: “joining other drug users, other groups, and organizations it is possible to transform what harms us”.
